JEAN CLAUDE AND DIDIER AUBERT
WINES IF VOUVRAY (37)
AN ESTATE, A FAMILY, A PASSION...
Located in Vouvray in Indre-et-Loire (37), the family farm of Jean Claude and Didier Aubert was founded in 1823. For 7 generations, their estate has been established in the Vouvray appellation and has continued to develop in a cherished and respected environment.
Today, Jean-Claude, the father, and Didier, the son, work together on their favourite grape variety: The “Chenin Blanc”, still called “Pineau de la Loire”, but not only! You will find in their Vouvray vineyard a few hectares of Gamay, but also Grolleau and Pinot Noir for making fine-bubble rosés. Situated in the communes of Vouvray and Rochecorbon on the hillsides bordering the Vallée Coquette, this Vouvray estate comprises no less than 47 hectares of vines worked with passion and respect for the terroir.

Respect for the environment, a daily challenge...
Our Vouvray vineyard is managed in a traditional way using sustainable agriculture. We only intervene on the vine if the observations and the risks seem to be consequent. This is why, since 2020, our Vouvray estate has been certified High Environmental Value. In order to optimise biodiversity and quality, our vines are also grassed.
Vouvray, a famous appellation
Endowed with an exceptional terroir shaped by the Loire and animated by a thousand-year-old know-how, our Vouvray estate presents in all sincerity a range of authentic white wines. A few kilometres east of Tours, on the right bank of the Loire and a region of the Val de Loire classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Vouvray appellation area represents 2200 hectares of vines and includes 8 communes, such as Vouvray and Rochecorbon. The clay-limestone or clayey-siliceous soil rests on tuffeau, this elegant stone used in particular for the construction of the Loire châteaux. This diversity of soil gives Vouvray wines their originality and character.
Work in the cellar...
The joint work of two generations brings together respect for tradition and modernity. By visiting our troglodyte cellars, you will discover the cohabitation of wood and stainless steel vats. The vats are thermo-regulated and allow us to control the temperature to obtain wines with finesse and elegance. Our wines are matured on lees before bottling in the spring.
